Attorney Brian M. Smith

Attorney Brian Smith grew up in Muncie, Indiana, where he graduated from Muncie Central High School. Brian attended Ball State University and graduated in 2001, majoring in political science and obtaining a minor in business. After completing his undergraduate studies, he attended law school at Valparaiso University, receiving his Juris Doctor's degree from Valparaiso University in 2005. While in law school, Brian participated as a member of the Valparaiso ATLA mock trial team and also received academic honors in legal drafting, business law, and trial practice. Attorney Smith is an accomplished attorney and has been practicing law in Lake County since 2005.

In his legal practice, Brian is personable and eager to help clients. He strives to build and maintain strong relationships with his clients and believes his success is second to theirs. His work ethic and diligence are effective at achieving results.

Attorney Smith has been Managing Partner of his firm in Merrillville since 2007. Brian has extensive experience in business law and has handled numerous personal injury matters, workers' compensation, and corporate cases. Attorney Smith has represented and continues to represent local businesses in multiple counties of Northwest Indiana, with an emphasis on startup businesses. Brian has effectively handled several cases covered by media outlets such as The Times of Northwest Indiana and The Post-Tribune. Attorney Smith has successfully appealed several client matters to the Indiana Appellate Courts. Throughout his years of legal practice, Attorney Smith has gained invaluable experience effectively practicing in many areas of law.

Attorney Smith's decision to practice law was influenced by his desire to help others. Brian is a committed husband and father of four. He is engaged in numerous activities, including coaching The Fury Baseball Team and Crown Point School Board Vice President. He is heavily engaged as an active member of Cross Point Church, located in Crown Point, Indiana.
